Manufactured-Home Replacement: Housing New Mexico HIP

  • Program: Housing New Mexico Home Improvement Program (HIP)
  • Role: Project manager and point of contact, working with Zia Factory Outlet as licensed dealer and installer
  • Location: Guadalupe County, New Mexico
  • Scope: Replacement of a deteriorated manufactured home with a new HUD-Code home, including removal of the existing home, delivery and setup of the new home, an upgraded electrical utility pole and service panel, a new septic system, skirting, air conditioning, an aluminum accessibility ramp with handrails, and ADA grab bars in the bathroom
  • Completed: July 2026 (approximately three months from start to finish)

The homeowner moved from a deteriorated manufactured home into a new, safe, and accessible home. Accessibility features, including a full-length ramp and bathroom grab bars, support safer daily living, while the new home’s energy-efficient construction and systems help lower monthly utility bills.
